E San Kitchen

DSC_0130 my dad has his new favourite restaurant. it’s this Thai restaurant at Seputeh. ask me for address if you want, cause the food is super super yummy.

so since the food is so good, when my cousin Ashley came with his friend Eugene, we brought them there for dinner. same goes for my uncle the other day but i don’t have a picture of him.

the appetizer that we had is this long beans and cucumber that we can dip in chilli sauce thing. it’s quite yummy even though it’s very simple. there are like three different chilli sauces to choose from.

their soup is really shiok betul la k. i, being the type of person who can swallow cili padi without batting an eyelash actually tear when it comes to this soup. it’s their super hot Thai soup.

their crispy fried rice is to die for. crispy bits are mixed in with rice cooked to perfection, topped off with prawns and some veggie, and hey presto we have a winner! and the crunchy white bits on top. heh

one of their salads. not really impressed though. there was the pedas factor there, but otherwise the taste was quite normal.

another salad. this one got hidden cili padi k. so it’s actually quite pedas for first time cili eaters. it’s a bit sour, the taste not too strong though. so you could just eat it with the fried rice and it goes really well.

ok, bet you haven’t seen this before. this is otak otak. no not brain, and yes it’s served in a coconut! this is no ordinary otak otak however, coconut bits are skillfully mixed unto this concoction. i forgot to mention that the otak otak is like soup! not the solid type that one normally finds. it’s seafood, so it contains prawns, fish bits etc. the addition of a bit of coconut into this dish really makes it stand out.

ok, this is fried fish floss. super super yummy! the mango slices on top of it though helps balance out the taste, it being a little bit sour while the sauce of this dish is slightly sweet. there are also hidden cili bits in the mango though. and if you prefer keeping your normal face colour, i suggest you should take the cili bits out before eating, or you might just end up with a face as red as a lobster when your done with this dish.

this is the fish, aruan to be exact. and it is one of their best dishes in this restaurant. the fish is stuffed with various herbs, the aroma wafting from the fish is enough to tantalize an already full soul into eating more. the fish is only fried, it is not drowned in any sauces. so a person could have the choice of dipping the fish into the various chilli sauces provided. the meat is cooked nicely and is nice and tender.

all in all, i would recommend you to go check out this place. their desserts are also really yummy, though i didn’t take any pictures.

xoxo
